Providing Opportunities

Our Organization is the Greater Trenton Junior Golf Inc., a Not-For-Profit, 501C3 Corporation established in Trenton, New Jersey in 1995. We are a recognized national authority on junior golf training and empowerment program for boys and girls 5 to 17 years of age. We introduce young people from Challenging circumstances to the sport of golf and its attributes and empower them with a vision and purpose for their lives. We recommend goal setting as a key to success. We assist the youth to achieve their goals and climb the ladder for economic and social success.

GTJG caters to over 240 youth annually and provides all of the necessary equipment to each participant regardless of the family's financial constraints.

GTJG applies the sport of golf as an educational, training and personal development tool to help oth disadvantaged and the general population to bridge the gap between themselves and the current-day American society. This is often achieved in partnership with public and private schools, community-based organizations, and corporate America, helping youth participants to define their vision, set goals, and established principles and the value systems.

The GTJG program is one of several golf organizations to contribute to the increase in participation of multicultural, inner-city and the other disadvantaged youth who may not necessarily have the opportunity to employees, or career professionals in the golf industry. The uniqueness of the GTJG program has been its educational and empowerment segments during junior golf classes. Our empowerment component “Life Lessons” is designed to enhance out youth and reestablish vision, mission, purpose, principles, and values in life. To accomplish this goal, we believe kids should focus on “Leadership Development”.

Through hard work and dedication, GTJG has strengthened its original youth empowerment and junior golf program. We are building a strong foundation for regional and national expansion. The opportunity for minority youngsters to participate in the game of golf and to receive academic scholarship and benefits from the sport never been greater. GTJG is proud of it’s Program to introduce possibilities to an increasing number of deserving children.
