History & Background
Greater Trenton Junior Golf was founded in 1995 by various employees of the City of Trenton. The popularity of the program grew significantly over the years, such that the group found it practical to apply for non-profit status to expand its funding.
GTJG has had 501c (3) status since August 2001. All staff members and instructors have worked on a volunteer basis and funding received and generated to date has been used for golf equipment, training aids, golf course and driving range access, and fundraising.
We have had a number of participants to go on to play in high school and in several other independent golf tournaments. The program operates in Trenton and surrounding areas within Mercer County.
